Rooting for Barbera
Our 2016 Root 49 Barbera will have you “rooting” for the Barbera varietal! Bad puns aside, there is a lot to love about this wine- full-bodied, loaded with flavors of ripe black cherries, plums, and currants and complemented by a spice component courtesy of the barrels.
Beautiful deep purple in color, it is just as much a revelation to look at as to drink. Bright acidity in this Barbera makes it a great pairing with comfort foods. From meatloaf to osso bucco, to a nice fat beef or mushroom burger, the 2016 Root 49 Barbara is guaranteed to brighten a rainy day!
