It’s a Wild, Wild Life
Life as vineyard and winery owner can be a wild life- both literally and figuratively. Figuratively, things are kind of wild right now at Naggiar. In the vineyards, bloom has started in the recently grafted blocks of Malbec, Sangiovese, and Zinfandel, as well as the younger-vine Viognier. We are doing shoot removal, suckering, raising wires, and mowing continuously.
In the winery, we finally have the time to do a good in-house cleaning and some general maintenance. Once that is done, we start doing the rack and returns of our 2017 wines and start blending for our August bottling.
Things are definitely wild in the Tasting Room as we have just kicked off Wine Fest 2018 with a release party, music in the vineyards, and our first Tribute Show show of the season.
Things are also getting wild in the vineyards, literally…
With the sun and warmth come the things that slither…
4 Foot long gopher snake
Things that crawl…
Beneficial vineyard crawly
Things that soar…
And things that charge…
Our neighborhood Bison
And a rare spotting of the rare-spotted Bea Vineyard Dog
