Eye of The Storm

The Eye of the Storm

They say the eye of the storm is the area of calm and peacefulness in the center of a hurricane or tornado. It might be hard to image Naggiar’s Harvest Festival, the biggest event of our season, as calm and peaceful. However, compared to the whirlwind of activities in the winery and in the vineyards it is just that … the eye at the center of the harvest hurricane.

On Sunday, September 17th our annual Harvest Festival will take Nevada County by storm. Lasting from 1 to 4 pm, this well-loved event has become an area classic. It celebrates all that Naggiar has come to stand for. Exceptional vineyards, grapes, and wine. Family connections and good old fashion fun. Wonderful live music and great food.

There will be wine tasting, barrel tasting, and vineyard tours. And don’t forget the always popular grape stomping (you haven’t lived till you’ve stomped grapes a la Lucille Ball.) This is a family friendly event with games, prizes and raffles for young and old. Live music will be provided by the local duo Dream and the Dreamer.

A Harvest feast will be available for $23 (pre-purchased prior to the event) and $25 on the day of the event (if available). Relax on our patio while you enjoy BBQ pork ribs, baked potatoes with all the fixins, steamed green beans and a Hawaiian roll. Top off your meal with a scrumptious apple crisp as you gaze out over the bursting vineyards. We highly recommend you pre-purchase your harvest feast to assure availability. Purchase your harvest feast by clicking here.

For the shoppers out there, we will have a host of local vendors to tempt you. We welcome Mary Kay Cosmetics, LuLaroe clothing, handmade soaps and lotions, Essential Oils, Cello Chocolates and Sciabica’s Olive Oils. Diane’s Treasures will be well stocked and Naggiar wines and gift certificates are always available.

Weather the storm and join us for this annual tradition .
