Book ‘Em Mike!
Once upon a time, in an area not too far away (well, depending on where you live), there was a man who was a very successful vice-president of a very large and well-known IT company (cough- HP- cough, cough). Eventually, the time came for the man to retire from the company and enjoy his golden years with his lovely wife and family in long, peaceful days of relaxation. So the man said “Forget that! I’m growing grapes and starting a winery!”
Of course, the man in my short story is Mike Naggiar, whose latest endeavor is writing a book about Naggiar’s story. This exciting new chapter (look out- bad book puns ahead…and behind) in the story of Naggiar Vineyards is about to begin…
Ok, enough teasers, a little about the book. The title, From Vines to Wine- Life in the Vineyards, encapsulates what the book is about. This is the story of how Mike and Diane came to the idea of entering the world of viticulture and winemaking. From picking the site, to establishing the vineyards, to the first harvest, the narrative is accompanied by gorgeous, corresponding photos. All four seasons at Naggiar are highlighted in breathtaking, photographic detail as is what life is like amongst the vineyards. From Vines to Wine-Life in the Vineyards has all of the beauty of a professionally done coffee table book while having an interesting narrative to go along with.
But wait! There is more… included in the back cover of Mike’s book is a Blueray DVD of the process from harvest to bottling. This professionally done video is a copy of the one shown on our Behind the Scenes Vineyard Tour, condensing the whole process into a sweet eight minutes. Limited copies of From Vines to Wine- Life in the Vineyards will be available for purchase beginning this weekend, February 4th, so don’t miss out!
This beautiful book would be an asset to anyone’s decor. If you are fortunate enough to have already visited Naggiar, then this book would be a wonderful memento of your visit. If you haven’t been, then it gives you something to dream about…one day, visiting Naggiar in person!
