It Was a Very Good Day
Yes, this is a new post, and yes, the title is very similar to last week’s, which was similar to a previous post…it’s like deja vu all over again! (courtesy of the eminently quotable Yogi Berra–boom). The very good day I’m referring to was one of our bottling days which was filmed by the talented news team of–wait for it– Good Day Sacramento. The crew of Good Day Sacramento came to Naggiar to do a film segment on the bottling process on one of our bottling days at the end of February. We were thrilled and honored to be able to give a little insight to the un-wined masses as to what happens during a bottling. I’m sure that I have peaked your interest now, so of course I will provide the links to the two segments:
We were fortunate to have fairly good weather for bottling…very cold, but dry (operative word here being DRY). This bottling consisted of our 2016 whites (I have it on good authority that our 2016 Viognier is phenomenal), 2014 reserve reds, and the 2015 Root 49 (also looking to be outstanding). We still have two more bottlings; one in mid-April and the final in July. Here’s to hoping for good weather for the up-coming bottling, because as far as bottling is concerned, rainy days really do get us down!
